We can’t wait to welcome you to Strummingbird Newcastle. Chances are, the time you’re planning to arrive and leave will be a similar time to everyone else. To make your day as cruisy as possible, make sure you’re across the best ways to get to and from the festival below.

Best way to get to and from Strummingbird
Getting There:
The easiest ways to get to Strummingbird are walking or taking the light rail, the closest stop is Newcastle Beach. Public buses are also available via stops on Watt Street (routes 11, 13, 14, 21, and 23). If you’re coming by train, the nearest station is Newcastle Interchange, which is accessible by bus, light rail, or a 37-minute walk.
Getting Home:
Walking or taking the light rail from Newcastle Beach is the quickest way home. Buses along Watt Street are also available, or you can return to Newcastle Interchange by bus, light rail, or a 37-minute walk.
If you’re leaving at the end of the night, please expect some wait times as everyone will be heading out at once.
Ride Share PU/DO location (Pick up/Drop off)
Getting There:
If you’re coming from further out, we recommend getting your rideshare to drop you to the closest form of public transport. If you’d prefer your rideshare or private car to drop you closer, they can drop you off along Wharf Road before Watt street roundabout.
Getting Home:
We strongly recommend heading home via public transport. If you’d rather get picked up by a rideshare or private car, pick-ups will be available along Wharf Road before Watt street roundabout, but expect road closures and possible delays.
Car Parking
Unfortunately, there is no day parking available through Strummingbird. We recommend using public transport, rideshare, or being dropped off along Wharf Road before Watt Street roundabout.
E-scooters
You must be 16+ to ride an e-scooter and can find more information through this website.
